Delhi Daredevils will be taking on the Highveld Lions from South Africa in the 1st Semi Final of the Champions League Twenty20 2012. The match will start at 9 pm IST at the Kingsmead in Durban on Thursday.
Delhi Daredevils were the table toppers in Group A with 12 points. They are unbeaten in the tournament so far and are a very balanced side too. Delhi Daredevils have got a star-studded batting line up in Virender Sehwag, Kevin Pietersen, Ross Taylor and Unmukt Chand.
Delhi have also got 4 quality seamers in Morne Morkel, Irfan Pathan, Umesh Yadav and Ajit Agarkar. These 4 have been quite impressive so far and will look to carry on today as well. Pawan Negi will be the lone front line spinner playing for Delhi Daredevils today.
Highveld Lions have been the most spirited team in the Champions League so far. They dont have the big names that Delhi Daredevils have, but they play well as a unit and a new star rises in every match of the Highveld Lions.
Alviro Petersen, Gulam Bodi, Niel McKenzie and Jean Symes have been going great guns so far. Highveld Lions will bank on their two left arm seamers Dirk Nannes and Sohail Tanvir to get them few early wickets. Phangiso has been the best spinner in the CLT20 2012 so far and the Daredevils will have to be cautious of him.
