Sebastian Vettel Wins The Indian Grand Prix 2012


Once again it was Sebastian Vettel who won the Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit in New Delhi on Sunday, 28 October. Vettel had gained the Pole Position at the start of the race and maintained his lead right throughout the race to claim the Trophy. Sebastian Vettel has now won both the Indian Grand Prix.

Fernando Alonso finished Second in Sunday's Race after he had started from the 5th position. Vettel's fellow Red Bull teammate Mark Webber finished  3rd in the race. Webber had started from the 2nd position but was overtaken by Alonso in the 48th lap after Alonso opened his DRS wing.

The two Force India Drivers did pretty well to finish 8th and 12th. It was a disappointing day for Narain Karthikeyan as he finished 21st. Michael Schumacher retired mid-way during the race when he was placed 18th. It was an exciting day of Formula 1 Racing on Sunday and a brilliant weekend at the Indian Grand Prix.

Indian Grand Prix Race Day Live: Sunday | 28 October


The Indian Grand Prix is into its final day as the Buddh International Circuit gears up for the Final Race on Sunday, 28 October. The main race will start from 3 pm IST.

The 3 Practice Sessions and the Qualifiers were held on Friday and Saturday and it was last time's Indian Grand Prix winner Sebastian Vettel who proved to be the most impressive on these two days.

Sebastian Vettel will be taking the Pole Position in Sunday's race as he was the best in the Qualifiers. His fellow Red Bull teammate Mark Webber took the Second Position. It is Michael Schumacher's last Indian Grand Prix, but the legend failed to impress as he could not make it to the top 10 in the Qualifiers.

The Qualifiers did not prove too well for the Indian fans as the lone Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan will be starting at the 23rd position on Sunday. The two Sahara Force India Driver's will be taking the 12th and 16th position in the main race on Sunday.

So get ready to be taken on a ride as the fast and furious race begins at 3 pm on Sunday. Sebastian Vettel is the favourite but who knows what might happen on Sunday.

Airtel Indian Grand Prix 2012: Stats and Facts


The Indian Grand Prix is back again for the second time as the Racing fever returns. The Indian Grand Prix 2012 will be held from 26-28 October 2012 at the Buddh International Circuit in New Delhi with the main race starting from 3 pm on Sunday, 28 October.

The lone Indian driver in the Indian Grand Prix will be Narain Karthikeyan, who will be racing for the HRT Cosworth team. He had finished 17th in the last Indian Grand Prix held in 2011. It was Sebastian Vettel who won the Inaugural Edition of the Indian Grand Prix in 2011.

Formula1: Indian Grand Prix 2012 | Dates and Timings



The Formula1 Fever is back as New Delhi gets ready to host the Airtel Indian Grand Prix 2012 on the 26, 27 and 28 of October. All the events will take place at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.

There will be three practice sessions and 1 Qualifying Round before the main race on Sunday, 28 October. It is surely going to be exciting as 24 drivers, representing 12 teams will be going all guns blazing.

Al the big stars of Formula1- Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and many more will be racing along with the lone Indian F1 Driver Narain Karthikeyan.

Along with the big names in F1 Circuit, lots of Bollywood personalities and Cricketers too will be present at the Buddh International Circuit on Sunday when the Main Race kicks off.

Formula 1: Spanish Grand Prix : Alonso clinches top spot after 1st Practice session in Barcelona

Under the clear , warm sky at the Circuit de Catalunya , the practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix was underway , and it  was none other than Spaniard  Fernando Alonso who claimed the top spot beating Ace German driver Sebastian Vettel by only one-tenth of a second ,the Red Bull driver was just outplaced only in the closing stages of the Spanish Grand Prix.Fernando Alonso clocked his best lap for 1:24:76 seconds and making it the fastest lap time at the circuit for the day ,Japanese driver Kobiyashi was placed third for team Sauber managing to stay ahead of Briton Jenson Button of  team McLaren with their newly modified  car nose ,Finnish reserve driver Valtteri Bottas  finished fifth in the session , staying ahead of 7 time world champion Micheal Schumacer for Mercedes team .

Lewis Hamilton for team Mclaren finished behind Frenchman Roman Grosjean who finished seventh for team Renault .

2007 world champion Kimi Raikonnen was placed ninth for Lotus ahead of Force India's Nico Hulkenburg ,Brazilian Fellipe Massa ended up securing the 12th spot just managing to stay ahead of Australian Mark Webber in the second Red Bull with Nico Roseberg finishing in 14th place in his Mercedes .

Frenchman reserve driver Jules Bianchi finished 18th ,American rookie Alex Rossi stood 19th for team Caterham ,Spaniard and local boy Dani clos ended up in the 24th place .

The practice session was very closely contested and Alonso with some backing up from home crowd , sealed the top spot at Spanish Grand Prix ,Barcelona .

"Formula 1" : Red Bulls's Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull jumps to top at "F1 Drivers Standings"

                       

The Trademark  “Single Finger Salute” soared high in the air ,as Sebastian Vettel registered his  first victory  in the current Formula 1 season ,  at the Bahrain GP , The venue  was widely speculated as   in- conductive for  an F1 race  due to present state Anti government tide and protests in the Arab world ,Car bombs and firing were a daily routine for the organizers and the also the team staffs ,with even few members of specific  teams pulling out of the race as a car bomb exploded in the vicinity of the  venue , the race has been witnessing  worldwide condemnation for the past few days ,since the F1 authorizers gave the race as well as the venue a green signal to conduct the event .

Now Both the F1 organizers as well the competitors can take a sigh of relief  , after the Race was successfully conducted without any interruption ,  however the nation still continues to remain in a state of wide spread uproar and turmoil  as the cry for  a massive  up rise gains ground.         

Sebastian Vettel finished at the top spot after keeping well ahead of the veteran Finnish driver  Kimi Raikonnen  , as he manged to secure  second place at the podium in the Bahrain GP ,Frenchman Romain Grosjean of Team Lotus finished in the third spot, seconds later, after his fellow teammate. Kimi Raikkonen displaying excellent presence of mind and skills managed to move to the second spot at the podium after starting at number 11 , but it was all about the Red Bull ace driver Sebastian Vettel who clinched  his first  victory of the season  as he succeeded in keeping ahead of the other drivers and finishing  the race in 1:35:10 seconds  .
 
The German driver now has a 53 points , ousting McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton  who after a couple of  terrible  situations at the Pit stops managed to finish at eighth   ,and now has 49 points ,followed Mark Webber whose current  season’s tally is at 48 points after finishing at fourth  In the Bahrain Formula 1 GP. Chinese Grand Prix  winner Nico roseberg , now stands at a total of 35 points after finishing  fifth in the race ,Jenson Button stand at 4th in tables with 43 points ,Romain Grosjean ,Sergio Perez and Paul Di Resta now holds  8th ,9thand 10th  position in the standings  respectively .

The  Sahara Force India driver secured a  sixth position in the Formula 1 Bahrain GP, ending the race ahead of Lewis Hamilton , Massa and Fernando Alonso .Force India gained all 8 points after ,Di Restas’s best finishing  of the Season so far .

Red Bulll now  holds the top spot in the Constructors   Standings  with 101 points and Force India at 8th with 17 points. Indian Formula 1 driver Narain Karthikayen(HRT) was 21st in the Bahrain Grand Prix .
Shutting out widespread speculations about the event , Sebastian Vettel Celebrated his 1st F1 victory of the season  taking him back to the top of the “Formula 1 Standings”’ .
