London Olympics: India's Medallists

London Olympics 2012 proved to be the most successful campaign for the Indian contingent in the history of the Olympic Games. Although India could not win a single Gold Medal, India won 6 Medals in total, which included 2 Silvers and 4 Bronze Medals. India finished 55th in the Medals Tally. Most of the Indian athletes at London are quite young and they will be eyeing Rio. Apart from the 6 Medallists, there were others who impessed a lot. London Olympics Wrestling: Yogeshwar Dutt Wins Bronze Medal

Yogeshwar Dutt brought India its 5th Medal at the London Olympics as he won Bronze in the Men's 60 kg Free-Style Wrestling Event on Saturday. Yogeshwar Dutt's journey to the Bronze Medal victory was full of drama. Yogeshwar had won his Qualifier easily but lost in the Pre-Quarter Final match.

Yogeshwar then came back to wrestle in the repechage rounds. What Yogeshwar did in the repechage rounds was nothing short of human excellence. He won 3 wrestling bouts on the trot in a space of less than an hour to secure India a Bronze Medal.

This was Yogeshwar's 3rd and last Olympics and he just had the perfect ending to it. The 29-year-old Yogeshwar won his Bronze Medal match in a scintillating fashion. He scored 6 technical points in a jiffy to win the bout. Whole India is proud of him and he has certainly given some late spark to India's Olympic journey at London.

United States will be up against Brazil in the Women's Gold Medal match in the London Olympics Volleyball tournament on Saturday.

London Olympics Football : Brazil vs Mexico Finals Live | Gold Medal

Brazil now have the chance , that beckoned all these years long , winning an Olympics Gold was the only thing for the Brazilians that they didn't achieve . India's Amit Kumar will be donning in the Men's 55 Kg category Wrestling   event today  , against Georgia's Vladimer Khinchegashvili , which will be Live just moments from now . London Olympics Wrestling : Narsingh Yadav vs Judah Gentry | 1/8 Finals

India have two Wrestling contingents waiting for their shot at glory as they don in the Olympics for the first time , both Narsingh Yadav and Amit Kumar Dahiya are making their debut in the competition and will be looking to convert their efforts into going through to the next rounds. India had poor day at the games on Thursday as none of the 3 participating athletes could impress. Geeta Phogat lost both her wrestling bouts whereas Sahana Kumari failed to reach the finals of the the  High Jump Event. Tintu Luka too could not make it to the finals of the Women's 800m as she finished 6th in the Semis. There are just 2 Indian athletes who will be competing on Friday.
