It’s sweet Revenge for Liverpool FC , who managed to somewhat console their club and fans after a 4-1
victory over Chelsea Football Club ,
Liverpool suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of the blues in the FA
Cup finals just 4 days ago going down 2-1 . Kenny Daglish’s men were rejuvenated
and inspired coming into Tuesday’s game facing a weary Chelsea who had 8 changes made in their starting line
up following the two teams FA Cup meeting in the finals . Liverpool’s win the
made it Kenny Daglishs’ sixth in 19 games played at Anfeild .
However after Tuesday’s loss ,
Stand by Manger Di Matteo said he
has no regrets losing the game to an inspired Liverpool side , eight changes
were made including goalkeeper Peter
Chec , Juan Matta , Didier Drogba , Lampard and the likes all benched ahead of the crucial UEFA
Champions League finals . The first goal
of the game was scored into the 19th minute when a failed approach
by Jhon Terry to stop Suarez , saw the ball land to Essien who netted it in his own goal . Henderson found the back of the net just after six minutes to make

secure a third goal for the Merseyside club and what seemed to be the fourth was declined after Downing’s penalty saw the
ball striking against the post just before the Half hour mark . The fourth goal
finally came as a gift for Jhon Shelvey
as Chelsea’s second choice goalkeeper Turnbull failed to successfully clear the
ball which eventually found it’s way to Liverpool
man Shelvey who struck a stunner from 30 meters out . Chelsea’s lone goal came
from Brazilian Ramires.
Chelsea on the other side were
denied an entry to the top four in the League tables after this loss and also purging
out any chances for the Blues to
book an European slot for the next season via the English Premier League , now
Chelsea will have to win their UEFA Champions League Finals on 19th
of May to appear in the UEFA Champions League next
season . This is bound to be a tough task for Chelsea as they will have to carry out the endeavor without
the likes of skipper Jhon Terry ,
Ramires, Ivanovic and Raule Meireles , all of them benched due to conceding Yellow cards on a row . The Bules will have to
face the rampant Bayern at Munich and
also make sure to defeat them in order to play in the Europe’s Elite Club Competition next
year.
With just only one game left in
the closing of this year’s English Premier League , Chelsea are now placed 6th
behind Tottenham Hotspurs and Newcastle
United , Chelsea’s last venture for this campaign
will be against relegated side Blackburn Rovers on the 13th of May.

Ultimately, Liverpool’s FA Cup loss was somewhat avenged by this 4-1
victory over Chelsea .
