In the Men's Basketball Quarterfinals later tonight , Team USA will be looking for an easy doorway leading to semis as they face Australia in the 2nd Quarterfinals in the London Olympics 2012 . USA so far has overpowered all their opponents and were tested to their mettle in one of their previous games against Lithuania , however managing to pull off the game 99-94 , USA then saw an easy victory against Argentina leading them to the quarterfinals. while for Australia , starting their Olympics campaign with two early losses , the team got their act together and managed to qualify for the quarterfinals. But confronting one of the major teams in the game , Australians have a daunting task ahead of them , tonight as they stand against the Americans for a spot in the semifinals .
The Australians are also no strangers to intensifying games of such proportions , defeating hosts Great Britain and Russia , while on their way to the quarterfinals .
