Nehru Cup 2012 :India vs Cameroon Live | 31st August

It's finally down to the last Round Robin game of the competition ,and the final two teams will battle it out on the rain fed pitch of the Nehru stadium in Delhi tonight as hosts India takes Cameroon for the Nehru Cup 2012 title . The Men in Blue are the current champions of the competition and are also consecutive winners of the prestigious International tournament . Uruguay , were the first team to have lift the trophy for the first time in 1982 . India , however found their recent run of success in the competition emerging champions in 2007 & 2009  edition respectively . India vs Cameroon will be the last round robin game of the competition before proceeding into the Finals just 48 hours from now due to be held on Sunday night .  

Both victories for the men in blue came against counterparts Syria in the Ambedkar stadium , New Delhi under the supervision of coach Bob Houghton who also played a crucial role in  convincing the AIFF to re-introduce the Internatinal tournament on Indian soil. 

Tonight however , India will be looking to fight hard confronting the African Lions to get something positive out of the game , in spite of a dull display against  Nepal in their previous fixture drawing 0-0 , Wim Koverman's team has certainly managed to prove their mettle against stronger opponents earlier. 

The pitch however seems quite in-conducive for Passing Football , Koverman's main tactic might be to provide long balls upfront and counterattack football , however Cameroon's defenders are well built and their physique might provide a lot of hindrance for Sunil and his companions. Most of the starting eleven players  will be benched as a precautionary measure by Koverman's keeping Sundays Final in mind.  Team India however are charged up and looks on the brighter side about their game tonight .
