Indian Boxer Devendro Singh powered his way into the Pre Quarter Finals of the Men's Light Fly Weight Category (49 kg) at the London Olympics on Tuesday.
Devendro Singh beat Bayron Molina Figueroa of Honduras in just 2 minutes and 24 seconds of Round 1. Devendro Singh knocked down his opponent twice, courtesy of a flurry of punches.
The referee then had to call off the contest and by the RSC verdict, Devendro Singh was declared the winner. The score was 24-2 in favour of Devendro when the match was called off.
Devendro Singh will now face Serdamba Purevdorj of Mongolia in the Pre Quarter Finals on Saturday.
