In an emphatic series of Shooting Event at the London Olympics 2012 , it is India's Vijay Kumar Yadav who claimed the Silver Medal in the Men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event. Kumar was consistent both during the qualifications as well as the Final Rounds , where he gave an intense competition to Cuba's Leuris Pupo who earned a Gold , China's Feng Ding got Bronze .
Vijay Kumar became the second Indian to add a medal to India's tally in this years London Olympics . Seconding Gagan Narang , who also donned today in another Shooting event along Jaydeep Karmakar but failed to make his mark , Karamakar however was exceptional during his qualification and missed out on the Bronze by a whisker ,with a deficit of 1.9 points.
Vijay Kumar's success in Shootings meantime revived India's hopes in the upcoming events , after Saina Nehwal's unexpected exist from the Semi finals of the Women's Badminton Singles , she will contest for the Bronze medal tommorow.
