The ICC Awards 2011-12 were held in Colombo on Saturday and the Asian players bagged top honours at the prestigious awards. Kumar Sangakkara stealed the night with three awards to his name. The only Indian to win an award on Saturday night was Virat Kohli, who was adjudged the ODI Player of the Year. Virat Kohli had a scintillating year as he amassed more than 1700 runs in the ODIs, which inculded 8 hundreds to his name. There were plenty of other awards too. - ICC Spirit of Cricket Award - Daniel Vettori
- Emerging Player of the Year - Sunil Narine
- People's Choice Award - Kumar Sangakkara
- ICC Associate Player of the Year - George Dockrell
- ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year - Sarah Taylor
- ICC Umpire of the Year - Kumar Dharmasena
