Pakistan blasted their way into victory as they chased down a big score in Colombo to defeat their arch rivals India in the ICC World Twenty20 Warm Up Match. Kamran Akmal was the star of the match as he notched up an unbeaten 92 in just 50 balls to take Pakistan home. He shared an unbeaten 95 run stand with Shoaib Mailk for the 6th wicket.
India had won the toss and decided to bat first. Sehwag and Gambhir got India off to a flier as India scored 41 in the first 4 overs. But Sehwag and Gambhir fell in quick succession. Virat Kohli(75*) then put a 127 run partnership with Rohit Sharma(56) to get India to 185/3 in 20 overs.
Pakistan had a huge score to chase down and the openers had to provide a good start. Hafeez and Imran Nazir did just that as they scored 29 in 3 overs. Pakistan then slumped from 84/2 to 91/5. The match was looking in India's hands. But the way Kamran and Malik batted was a treat to watch. Pakistan eventually got the target with 5 balls to spare.
