England vs South Africa 3rd Test: England Fight To Save The No.1 Ranking

England will be facing South Africa in the 3rd and Final Test at the Lords on Thursday. This is a big encounter because the No.1 Ranking in Test Cricket is at stake. South Africa are 1-0 up in the series after comprehensively winning the 1st Test. England now have their task cut out as they will have to win this test to stay at the top of the Test Rankings.

ENGLAND: They are under tremendous pressure in this game and will have to deliver the goods at Lords. The Kevin Pietersen saga has worsened things for the English camp. Pietersen was in absolutely sensational form and to replace him at No.4 will be a tough job for Jonny Bairstow. England will be depending a lot on their pacers and will be hoping that Anderson and Co. fire at Lords.

SOUTH AFRICA: The Proteas have got a golden oppurtunity in their hands and will certainly not like to lose it easily. They just have to prevent a defeat at Lords to be crowned the World No.1 Test Team. The South African openers are in good form and they have got a solid middle order too. The likes of Amla, Kallis and de Villiers are tough opponents to bowl at. But the Proteas strength will lie on their trio of pacers Steyn, Morkel and Philander.

This a crucial encounter and a historic one as well as England skipper Andrew Strauss will be playing his 100th Test Match and that too at the Lords.
