We are down to the last league game in the SLPL as the Uva Next go head to head against Nagenahira Nagas on Monday at the R.Premadasa Staium in Colombo. The match will start at 8 pm Local Time. This match is a cery crucial one as it will decide which teams will feature in the Semi Finals.
Uva Next will be led by Thilina Kandamby. The batting will rely on Upul Tharanga and Shoaib Malik a lot because the others are not quite experienced. Uva Next have got a splendid bowling line up with Umar Gul and Dilhara Fernando in there. But the man who has troubled the batsmen most has been Jacob Oram. He has clearly been the best Uva Next bowler in the SLPL so far.
Nagenahira Nagas will be having all-rounder Angelo Mathews as their skipper. They are coming off a 15 run loss on Sunday and will look to register a win today to get to the Semi Finals. Ahmed Shehzad and Travis Birt will be vital at the top with Mathews and Mushfiqur Rahim to follow in the middle order. The way the two Nagas spinners bowled on Sunday was really impressive. Suraj Randiv and Ajantha Mendis will once again hold the key today.
