After 19 days of fabulous T20 action and 23 matches we are now heading towards the final of the Sri Lanka Premier League 2012. This is going to be a spectacle to watch out for as the Uva Next will be taking on the Nagenahira Nagas in the Final of the Inaugural SLPL on Friday. The match will be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo from 8 pm onwards.
Thilina Kandamby will be leading Uva Next in the Final. They had beaten the tournament favourites Wayamba United in the Semi Finals to reach the final. Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Upul Tharanga will be the men to take the onus in this big match.
But the strength for Uva Next has been their bowling right through out the tournament. Jacob Oram has been simply amazing the way he has bowled with the new ball. Umar Gul and Sachithra Senanayake too are big match players and will be crucial in today's Final.
Angelo Mathews has had a dream tournament so far leading the Nagenahira Nagas. Their Semi Final match against Kandurata Warriors was washed out due to rain and they were drafted into the Finals as they had more points in the group stages.
Nagas will know that they will have to play out of their skins today to get that coveted trophy. Imran Nazir, Mathews and Rahim will be vital with the bat whereas the spin duo of Randiv and Ajantha Mendis will the deciding factor when Nagas bowl. So, be ready to witness a scintillating game of T20 Cricket at the SLPL Final.
