Its finally show time as India-New Zealand Test Series kicks of at Uppal, Hyderabad. India will be playing without Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman and surely the familiar names at No.3 and No.5 will be missed a lot. But it will also be an opppurtunity for the likes of Pujara, Badrinath, Raina and Rahane to prove their mettle in the longest version of the game.
India are the red-hot favourites in this Test Series, simply because of the poor form that the New Zeraland team is in. India will like to get that 0-8 loss off their back and start the new season on a high. Sachin Tendulkar will now have more responsibity as he will have to guide the youngsters. R.Ashwin will be leading spinner with Zaheer, Yadav and Ojha filling up the bowler's quota.
New Zealand are down on confidence and have got notrhing to lose. Their premier spinner and all-rounder Daniel Vettori has been ruled out of the series due to an injury. Brendon McCullum has said that he will be back to opening the innings with Guptill. Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson will have to shoulder the middle order. Chris Martin will be the sprear head of the Kiwi bowling attack.
