Last night was witness to a classic tie between Barcelona and Chelsea for the Champions League Semifinal 2nd leg at Nou Camp ,it was the away side Chelsea F.C who succeded in booking their place in Munich for the UEFA Champions League Final . Chelsea were the first team to do so , as tonight will decide their counterpart for the Final due to be held at the Olimpique Staium on 25 th of april. The Catalonian Giants Barcelona was overpowered by the ten men English side ,after captain Jhon Terry's dismissal on the stroke of half time ,after an intentional kneeing at back of Alexis Sanchez who hesitated to little ,and went down momentarily ,the red card followed with sighs from the away bench. However the controversial event was just minutes after the first goal of the match , when the home team Barcelona took the lead with some help from Sergio Busquets as he knocked in a ball provided from the left flank by Lionel Messi .
The game was dominated by Barcelona from the start of the game , as they seemed desperate in their efforts to take the lead ,the game witnessed immense battle in the midfeild and frequent ravishing runs by Messi who literally gave the Ivanovic and Ashely cole a run for their money .But the away team were quick to response as a spell-bounding goal from Ramires , a flick of the ball over the head of Victor Valdes , picture perfect goal in two words who kept his team still in the game ,though his yellow card in consecutive matches will see him miss the finals .
The first half of the game saw one sending off , and two goals . Both of them being scored by the Catalans ,certainly Pep Guardiola was the happier coach out of the two at half time . Gary Cahill of Chelsea and Gerard Pique of Barca were substituted early in the game after both the defenders sustained injuries and most notably its was Pique who looked dizzy after a pounding collision with fellow Goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
The second phase of the game was again dominated by the Catalans ,with ball possession being 72 is to 18 in favor of Barcelona . However the Spanish Giants failed to capitalize instead of the immense difference , the game progressed as tackles flew in every other minute ,tempers soared and even culminated into a short fist fight between Frank Lampard and former Arsenal maestro Cesc Fabregas ,which earned the Chelsea veteran an yellow card. The second phase saw a single goal from substitute Fernando Torres who scored after Barcelona threw in too many men into attack and ultimately failed to keep a check on the Spanish striker , who finally sealed the game scoring in a one is to one situation outperforming Valdes .And securing a spot a the UEFA Champions League finals due to be held at Munich .
