Sachin Tendulkar Makes His Debut in the Rajya Sabha




Sachin Tendulkar began a new innings for himself as he took oath as a member of Rajya Sabha on monday in the presence of Vice President Hamid Ansari. Sachin Tendulkar was nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the President for his tremendous contribution towards the nation in the field of cricket. Sachin Tendulkar became the first active sportsman to take oath as a Rajya Sabha member while he is still continuing to play cricket. His wife Anjali was also present at the place and wished him luck for his new commitment.

After taking oath, Sachin Tendulkar said that cricket would still continue to be his first love and his main focus will be on his batting and he would be contributing to the team's cause in every possible
 manner. He also said that he was proud on being a member of the Rajya Sabha and will serve the nation with full determination. Sachin Tendulkar aims at not only working for the benefit of cricket but for the whole sports community. He would like each and every sport in this nation to advance forward and would certainly be working hard on it. Sachin Tendulkar would be a member of the Rajya Sabha for the next 6 years.
