Tonight , in the  Euro cup 2012 , Group D's  first venture will kick-off , featuring  France vs England . Hailed as one of the most anticipated  ties of the tournament ,  a Resurgent French side  will launch it's conquest for Euro redemption against a Renascent England squad  , which will have eyeballs rolling all over the globe . Both sides have met unsuccessful ventures in the Euro 2008 as well as  departed from South Africa World Cup 2010  after they failed to surpass the group stages .

However , ever since the sacking of French coach Raymond Domenech and appointment of Laurent Blanc as his replacement , fortune has favored the french side , their progress have been quite impressive moving up the ladder from their FIFA ranking of 27 to 14 , their recent winning  and  unbeaten  streak in 21 games has played a key role in resurgence process of the "Les Blues" . Though , not many of the teams are wary of the  French  side's chances in this year's Euro but their silent and focused tactic may hail them as the Dark Horse this time around. With the likes of player's such Frank Ribery , Clichy , Benzema  , Diarra most of the french internationals in the squad , are currently enjoying top flight football ,and are engaged with renowned clubs all  across Europe and the globe . Specifically players such as Patrice Evra ,William Gallas ,Nasri have made their mark in the Premeir League, and are also cause of concern for England manager Roy Hodgson .
Danny Welbeck

France and England last met back in 2010  in an Friendly encounter , where "Les Blues" emerged as victorious , overpowering a comparatively debilitated  English side on their home turf in the New Wembley . England , on the other hand have had quite a roller coaster ride Pre-Euro 2012 , surrounded by  a series of incidents featuring scandals , Controversies and ultimately the sacking of English coach Fabio Capello have had an astounding impact on their game ,  Jhon Terry lost his England captaincy following an alleged racists taunting directed towards  Patrice Evra during a Premeir League encounter with Manchester United . Since , then England's Skipper's spot has been held beneath the waterline , Injury woes of key players such as Gareth Barry , Frank Lampard , and Gary Chaill  have  had them ruled out for the tournament and  impacted the whole team in a negative sense , moreover the suspension of Wayne Rooney  due to booking , means he will not make it in the starting XI against France . However , there is still hope for the English team .

With the inclusion of a new breed of young footballers such as Welbeck , Henderson , England might  have  a surprise is in store for  us , Roy Hodgson inspite of all shortcomings insists they can make their mark in the Euro Cup 2012.
