Brazil Defeats host USA 1- 4 in a freindly on Thursday

Brazil defeated hosts USA 4-1 on Thursday's Friendly in US soil . It was none other than , Santos prodigy Neymar , who helped the Samba side clinch an overwhelming  victory against the  North Americans  , the young Brazilian scored the beginner on the 12th minute mark from a spot kick , leaving Everton Goalkeeper diving on the wrong side of the goal , owing to Oguchi Onweyu   handball in the penalty area  the samba side were  now leading  1-0 ,Brazilian coach Mano Menezes fielded   a rather  young breed of footballers on the pitch to test them for the upcoming Olympics 2012 . The young side justifying their coach's trust on them earned Brazil a comprehensive victory over their  North American counterparts , The second goal came from a corner this time also incorporating Neymar's  skills , when  his  lofted corner  in the penalty area saw the skipper Thiago Silva heading in the second goal for the five world champions Brazil.

The  third  goal of the game , came for the host USA  by another Santos player but  the Mexican version of the club, Herculez  Gomez netted in the goal on the 45th minute mark , converting a cross from Fabian and reducing the deficit to 2-1 for the hosts  at the stroke of half time .

Marcelo then scored the third for  the Brazilians , picking up the ball from a  spell bounding  flick  by Neymar to right side of Tim Howard  , who blasted   in successfully earning a 3-1 lead for the South Americans in 52nd minute.

USA  were almost back in the game when substitute Clint Dempsey almost got his name in the scorecards after his effort was  seen cleared off the goal line . The Fulham player came on the pitch in place of Landon Donovan on the 56th minute  .And it was finally the Ac Milan man Alexander Pato who struck the final nail in the coffin for the United States scoring the fourth goal on the dying stages of the game in the 88th minute.

USA will look to take some positives out of this game, as they venture into qualifying stages for the World Cup 2012 Brazil  , USA are to travel north to face neighbors Canada on June 8th.
