Indian Boxer Manoj Kumar reached the Pre Quarter Finals of the Men's 64 kg category Boxing tournament at the London Olympics after he beat Turkmenistan's Serdar Hudayberdiyev 13-7 on Tuesday.
The first round was a close one with both boxers playing cautiously. The score was tied at 2-2 at the end of Round 1. Manoj Kumar displayed his skills well in the second round to take the round 7-3.
With a 4 point lead behind his back, Manoj played defensively in the last round and won it 4-2. Manoj Kumar will now face Thomas Stalker in the Pre Quarter Final on Saturday.
