The Indian Men's Doubles pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna was knocked out of the London Olympics after they lost to the French pair of Gasquet and Benneteau in straight sets on Tuesday.
Bhupathi and Bopanna lost the match 3-6, 4-6 in just 77 minutes. They were completely outplayed by the French pair and could not even pose some sort of challenge.
In their last game, Bhupathi and Bopanna were stretched to the limits, but they still fought hard. But this time the French pair ran away with the game.
There was a lot of controversy over sending Bhupathi and Bopanna as a pair to the London Olympics and with them being knocked out in just the Second Match is going to raise a number of questions.
The other Indian pair, Leander Paes and Vishnu Vardhan, were also scheduled to play their match on Tuesday. But due to rain their match was postponed. They will be in action on Wednesday.
