London 2012 Boxing: Shiva Thapa Crashes Out In Round Of 32

India's teen boxing sensation Shiva Thapa crashed out of the London Olympics in the Round of 16 after losing to Mexico's Oscar Valdez Fierro 9-14 in the bantamweight opening round.

The 18 year old Thapa was making his Olympic debut and was a medal hopeful, but his Olympic debut turned out to be a rather sorrow one.Thapa began his campaign defensively and allowed his opponent to get on top of him. The 1st Round ended with Thapa trailing 2-4.

Shiva Thapa came back strongly in the 2nd Round to narrow the gap 6-7 at the end of Round 2. It looked like this teen could turn the match on his head as he kept punching his opponent in the 2nd Round.

But it was not the case as the Mexican did not allow Thapa to take the lead and dominated him right throughout the last round. The match ended with Oscar Valdez Fierro winning 14/9.
