London Olympics 2012 : India Eliminated from Men's Team Archery Event

In a very close competition taking place at the Lord's Cricket Ground , Team India after a critically contested  Elimination round  ultimately had to taste defeat at the hands of Japanese Archers,  who emerged victorious keeping their calm , in the tie breaking  round of the Men's Recurve Team Event  .Both Japan and India were leveled at 214 points each  after 24 attempts at the target  from either side . Indian team featuring Jayanta Talukdar, Rahul Banerjee, Tarundeep Rai , were consistent in their approach , with Tarundeep Rai expressing tremendous dedication , but eventually had to give in , in the tie-breaker after Japanese Archers scored 10-10-9  points respectively on stepping up for the tie breaker round . Japan now heads into the quarterfinals of the Men's Team Archery event to face United States of America . Moreover hosts  Great Britain also had  to bid an early goodbye from the event after being eliminated by Ukrainian Archers . Meanwhile France along side South Korea had advanced automatically into the quarterfinals on the basis of the first round of the Men's Recurve Team Event . The Medalists of the Event will decided today .
