London Olympics Archery: Indian Women Archers Crash Out In 1st Round

Indian Women Archery team crashed out of the London Olympic Games after losing to Denmark by just 1 point. The scoreline read 211-210 in favour of the Denmark team at the end of the match. There were huge expectations from Deepika Kumari, C.Swuro and Bombayla Devi, but they missed the mark by a whisker.

India were leading by 1 point at the end of Round 1, but a couple of poor aims by Swuro resulted in India losing the momentum. Denmark lead by 107-104 at the end of Round 2.

The 3rd Round was also dominated by Denmark as they finished it with a lead of 5 points. India fought hard in the 4th and final round to come back in the match. But the Denmark archers squeezed past by 1 point.

It was a disappointing performance by the Indian women archers because there were big hopes from them after the Men's team was knocked out yesterday.
