London Olympics Tennis: Leander Paes and Vishnu Vardhan Win Opening Match

Leander Paes and Vishnu Vardhan began their campaign in the London Olympics Men's Doubles Tennis tournament on a winning note as they defeated the Dutch pair of Jean Julien Rojer and Robin Haase 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 to win  their first game on Monday.

The World No.208 pair of Paes and Vardhan did well to win the first set 7-6. But they lost the momentum in the Second set and were outplayed as they lost it 4-6.

But the Indian pair of Paes and Vardhan came back well in the Third set and did not allow the Netherlands pair to dictate terms. They won the third set easily by 6-2 and qualified for the next round.

Leander Paes and Vishnu Vardhan will now play Jo Wifred Tsonga and Michael Llodra in the next round on Tuesday.
