Spain 4 - 0 Italy : Euro Cup 2012 Finals - Armada Destroys The Azzuri

Spain 4 - 0 Italy
(Silva 14' , Alba 41' , Torres 84' , Mata 90+1')

Millions witnessed history last night as Spain became the first team ever to win three prestigious Cup  titles back to back , Spain crushed the Azzuri 4-0 as , the Armada spearheaded towards the title that would guarantee European domination for the next four years to come. Early strike from Man City marvel David Silva in the 14th minute gave the Spanish the head start and from there on the Armada largely dominated throughout the entire proceedings of the Euro Finals . Jordi Alba the left wing , doubled the tally in the 41th minute , with a spectacular strike past Buffon's right making it advantage Spain just before the break . Fernando Torres , who was substituted in most of the games after the group stages ,  made full use of his chance after coming of the bench in the last 15 minutes   , thus slotting in the third of the game and his third of the tournament  ,which was shortly  followed by an excellent assist some minutes later , helping  Mata to  score the final goal of the game .

Spain emerged victorious Devastating the Italians , 4-0 , in  one of the highest scoring finals in the history of the UEFA European Cup.

Spain , continued their domination throughout the game in spite of playing without an actual striker up front , Coach Del Bosque relied upon his Midfield to shut out the Italians completely . As predicted by pundits it turned out  Midfield battle played the key in yesterday's game as Spain devastated the 2006 world champions in style . Andre Pirlo seemed helpless against the fluent Spanish passing ,and their quick one twos . Though , Mario Balotelli , Kept on trying his luck but eventually failed to capitalize from  any of his attempts , Antonio Cassano contributed his bit before being substituted halfway through the game. Antonio Di Natale , who came on for the experienced Cassano did little to much to have any impact on the game.

Signs of tiredness were quite prevalent on the pitch as Chilleni ,and  Thiago Motta had to retire after pulling their hamstrings . Thiago Motta , who came on as the third and final  substitute  for Italy had to head for treatment  after pulling his hamstring and was unavailable   for the rest of the duration of the game.

Spain displayed their trademark passing and possession game , which ultimately overpowered the Italy's Counter attacking tactic . Spanish right back  Sergio Ramos had an excellent game along with Fernando Torres who proved his mettle after doubling Spain's lead with a beautiful goal and a spectacular assist .

Most of the Italian team members were in tears after failing to reclaim the much yearned Euro title , as for some of these players it would be their last  Euro campaign

Spain , are now no more the underachievers after winning the Euro Cup back to back , they are now certainly THE force to reckon with in the world stage .
